Talkgate is a voice agent platform your MSP runs as its own product. Your brand, your domain, your billing, your clients. The engineering, the phone numbers and the hosting are already done.
A phone call is still how a business gets reached when it matters, and it usually rings while the owner is busy. Talkgate stands at that gate. A caller speaks, the agent listens and answers, and what passes through is a booking in the diary, a job in the client's own software, a message to the right person, or a live transfer.
The client keeps their number, their systems and their name on the door. You keep the relationship.
What passes through the gate on a call: a booking, a job, or a person on the line.
Solutions
What you can sell
Six things your clients already pay someone to do badly, or do not do at all. Each one is a product line under your name.
Reception
The jobs go to whoever answers second. The agent picks up on the first ring, at any hour, in a real New Zealand or Australian voice. It answers questions from the client's own knowledge base, takes a proper message, and puts the caller through when a person is needed.
Somebody will call you back to arrange it. The agent reads live availability in the client's calendar, offers real times, books on the call and reschedules while the caller is still on the line. It re-checks the slot in the second before writing, so it never double books.
The emergency went to voicemail. The client writes down what counts as urgent for their trade. After hours the agent works down the on-call ladder, app alert, then text, then call, until a person accepts. Voicemail never counts as an answer, and every attempt is on the record.
The quote went quiet. The agent rings a list the client owns, has a real conversation, flags the hot leads, honours “ring me another time” and texts the people it misses. Booking reminders, surveys and overdue invoice calls run the same way. Never bought lists, never outside calling hours.
Half the enquiries arrive by text and nobody is watching the phone. Text campaigns with follow-ups and STOP honoured, a plain texting service for the client's own software, and, in early access, a texting agent that replies from the same knowledge as the phone and hands over to a person the moment somebody asks.
Enquiries are scattered across three inboxes. Every call, chat, text and web form lands in one leads list with the whole history for that number beside it. Stages the client names, follow-up dates, stale markers, and automations that ring, text or tag a lead when it arrives or goes quiet.
Each partner gets its own instance of the platform: own domain, own database, own branding, own clients. Isolation is by construction, not by a role check.
Your brand and domain
The portal, the login page, every email, the agent builder and the website chat widget carry your name, logo and colours on a hostname you own. The agent says its makers are you. There is no powered-by line unless you switch one on.
Your billing
Your instance runs on your own card payment account, so you are the merchant of record. You name and price your own packages, receipts carry your brand, and your margin is your business. Talkgate bills you wholesale, once a month.
One knowledge base
A client's notes, documents and website feed one knowledge base. The phone agent and the website chat answer from it today, and the texting and email agents in early access do too, so a price changed on the website changes what the agent says everywhere.
No hardware, nothing to install, and the client keeps the number on the side of the van.
A new local number
Every agent comes with its own real local number in New Zealand or Australia, in the region the client asks for. Nobody inherits a stranger's old number: the platform only takes a number that has never been sold, or one it parked itself after a cooling-off period.
Divert or port the number they have
The usual setup. The client diverts their existing number to the agent on their own carrier: always, when unanswered, when busy, or when the phone is off. It takes a couple of minutes and you walk them through it. Or port the number in, and it leaves with the client if they ever go.
Bring your own trunk
The platform speaks SIP end to end, so an existing trunk, PBX or DDI range is connected with you during onboarding. Route the numbers you choose to the agent and leave the rest of the phone system alone.
A rule per number says who gets the call and when: an office line, a mobile, the on-call person. Trading hours and public holidays run on the clock of the number, so a Brisbane number answers on Brisbane time.
Every connection is built and run by the platform, straight into that system. The agent recognises the caller before it says hello, and files what happened before the client has read the summary.
Calls are handled in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and nowhere else. That covers the call itself, the transcription and any recording. Call data does not go to the United States, Europe or anywhere else.
Both countries' privacy laws recognise the other as providing comparable protection, which is what makes running across the two lawful. There is no single trans-Tasman data residency law, and Talkgate does not claim one.
Recordings and full transcripts are off by default and switched on by the client. Customer transcripts are never used to train AI models.
A partner briefing is a 30-minute call. We walk through the partner model, the telephony, the integrations your clients use and where the data lives, and you leave knowing whether it fits your book.
